CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa thought his manager was a stalker?

We kpop fans have heard some interesting "idol discovery stories" in the past, from Lee Hyori, who was discovered through a purikura photo, to 2PM's Nichkhun, who was scouted at the Korean Music Festival in Los Angeles a few years ago, then pursued by said scout and forced to audition in a public cafe. Apparently, CNBLUE leader Jung Yong Hwa went through a pretty interesting casting process as well.

On January 27, GOMTV will reveal Making the Artist – CNBLUE, which will explain how the four members of this rookie group were chosen for the band.

It was revealed that, prior to being put into CNBLUE, Jung Yong Hwa discovered online photos of himself at a ski resort, taken by a stalker and uploaded onto an ulzzang cafe. Soon after, someone at school told him that a sachon noona (older female cousin) was trying to contact him. Since he didn’t have such a cousin, Jung Yong Hwa assumed that the person was a stalker and ignored her visit to the school.

A while later, Jung Yong Hwa bumped into his casting manager and discovered that she had been the one trying to contact him at school about CNBLUE. To make things worse, Jung had accidentally mixed up his manager's number and ignored her calls. Luckily, the two cleared up the confusion during their chance encounter and immediately began preparing for Jung's debut soon after.

Unfortunately, we still don't know who posted those shots of Jung on the ulzzang cafe, but since his face is plastered everywhere now with CNBLUE's debut, I guess it doesn't make a huge difference.

Making the Artist – CNBLUE will show how the other members got cast as well. Keep your eyes locked on allkpop for this upcoming episode!

Hong Gil Dong

Spellcasted by ♣Ashes♣ at 1:00 PM 0 comments
I am not so into dramas on historical storyline other than 'Dae Jang Geum' & 'IIjimae', Hong Gil Dong (쾌도 홍길동) is one of such storyline that I will watch. ;) If you're a fan of the Hong Sisters, you will definitely like this kdrama, the storyline is enjoyable.

Hong Gil Dong (쾌도 홍길동), based on a fictional book about a Robin Hood in Korea, this drama is very loosely based off of that book and the time it was set in.
Hong Gil Dong (Kang Ji Hwan [강지환])was the illegitimate son of a high ranked minister. A local monk took him under his wing and taught him martial arts. Gil Dong was inspired to fight for the injustice in this society that divided people into nobles and ordinary citizens whereby the former enjoyed all the privileges due solely to their birth.

Heo Yi Nok (Sung Yu Ri [성유리]), had just returned to Korea from China with her grandfather. They made their living by putting on shows and selling their special brand of medicine in the marketplace.

Lee Chang Hwi (Jang Geun Seok [장근석]), had been told since he was young that he was the rightful heir to the throne which had been usurped by his half brother. He had also returned from his exile in China and was plotting to overthrow the emperor.

The three got entangled in love, hate, loyalty and betrayal and only one side can win.

My Rating : 8.5/10
