After a day of comebacks, teasers and debuts,, Taeyang seeks to set himself apart from the rest of the gents with Where U At tonight by sticking with the night of the ladies' music video releases. Speaking of sticking with the ladies, wait til the ending of the video because there's something that literally gave me goosebumps! The piano teaser (to Wedding Dress?) is to DIE for.
Anyway, the song was released so recently that it's still warm from the printing press, yet Taeyang's already back with the music video!
I know some of you may be disappointed that Taeyang won't be promoting this song live, but trust me, this music video makes up for it. Y'know, it's really a shame that he won't be in the running because I honestly think Taeyang would have an reasonable chance at toppling his competitors... but that's just my opinion. Without further ado:
Although this may be refreshing for you fans that have been waiting for Youngbae's solo return after a year, we're not even close to the really good stuff yet - Where U At isn't even the main focus as Taeyang is set to release & promote another single, Wedding Dress on the 11th next month. I don't know about you guys, but this music video left me practically crying for more. With nearly a month longer to wait, I've got to hand it to YG Entertainment for knowing how to tease, because they've got me & many others I'm sure wrapped around their finger... with something like this, I wouldn't be surprised if we get some enormous hype come November, Heartbreaker style!
Buuuut for now, indulge on this music video. Hot or not? (Is that even a question?) Source: Allkpop
It's been nearly a year and a half since his first solo debut, but now Big Bang member Taeyang returns with concept photos for his comeback.
He'll be returning with "Where U At" on the 15th after his hits "Prayer" and "Only Look At Me" from his first solo mini-album titled "HOT". Since his solo debut he's been receiving great praise and was even dubbed the "lead singer of all pop idol groups". Fellow composer and former leader of 1TYM, Teddy, revealed that it will be big as Taeyang's past solo hits, and also 2NE1's "Lollipop", "Fire", and "I Don't Care".
Taeyang who has surprisingly never had a girlfriend before, sings about finding his girlfriend in the future wherever she may be. The story is said to be filled with passion and a lot of his heart.
YG Entertainment revealed that Taeyang will not be making any special stage performances and also will not appear on air to promote the song. The reason behind this is because he will also be releasing a 2nd single titled "Wedding Dress" on the 11th and plans for that will extend towards the end of the year.
Taeyang's new solo album is about to drop soon, unless YG officially releases a statement about any delays.. His title song is called "Where U At", which will be released as a digital single along with the music video, before the whole album comes out.
So far there is only one picture on the web related to Taeyang's new album. We aren't even sure if this is a picture from the set of his MV, but it most likely has something to do with his promotional activities. This concept is not much different from Big Bang's past concepts like their Stand Up Teaser. The hip hop style clothes and the dark mood is nothing new, but like all of Big Bang's songs, it's bound to be good and hit the top of the charts.Anticapting for his new album. ;)
Big Bang Tae Yang will be releasing his 2nd solo album this autumn.
Yang Hyun Seok left a message on YG Entertainment official homepage on 24th September saying, "Mid-October, Tae Yang will be releasing a digital album and MV to comeback title 'Where U At'.:
But the date for Tae Yang's full length 2nd album release has yet been confirmed.
According to YG, Tae Yang will be promoting for a longer period of time as compared to his 1st solo album activities. YG also revealed that they will take on a multi-angle approach to Tae Yang's promotions this time round.
He added, "The filming for Tae Yang's 'Where U At' MV will take place this weekend (3rd week of September), together with director Seo Hyun Seung."
Ashes: I am soOoOo looking forward to Tae Yang's 2nd album coz I really enjoyed all the songs in his 1st album, "Hot".
