You're Beautiful

You're Beautiful / You're Handsome [미남이시네요], A story about the behind-the-scenes life of an idol group called "A.N.JELL", their difficulties, love and career ends on 26 Nov 09 (Thur). The best Kdrama in 2009!!!

Tae Kyung [Jang Geun Seok / 장근석], Shin Woo [Jung Yong Hwa / 정용화] and On Yu aka Jeremy [Lee Hong Ki / 이홍기] are in search of a new member for their idol group, A.N.JELL. However, Mi Nam suffers an injury at the last moment. So Mi Nyu [Park Shin Hye / 박신혜], his twin sister, is asked to step in for her brother. The rest of the drama tells how 3 of the members slowly fall in love with Mi Nam aka Mi Nyu.
There are a few scenes that I really like from this Kdrama.

Episode 7: When Shin Woo secretly follows Mi Nyu around Myeongdong. Shin Woo (Jung Yong Hwa) was a total charming prince in that outfit. Although Jung Yong hwa's character is pretty similar to Jihoo sunbae [Kim Hyun Joong] in 'Boys over flowers' but he just makes me 'fell in love' with him. Hehe...
Don't he looks charming in this outfit?Episode 9: Lee Hong Ki from F.T. Island as Jeremy is a super cutie. When he drove Mi Nam around in his motorbike as his 1st recording celebration party, he just makes you fell in love with his cuteness.

Episode 12: Once again, Jung Yong Hwa (Shin Woo) just makes you 'fall in love' with him. Watch the below clip & you will know what I meant. ;)

Episode 13: 'Awesome' is the word to describe this episode. I simply love this episode!!! What can I say about this epi?!? Shin Woo was cool & charming through out the episode!!! He really can act very well considering this was his first Kdrama. If I were Mi Nyu, my choice will definitely be Shin Woo instead of Tae Kyung. Keke...

Not to forget Tae Kyung was good too. I am surprised as an young actor he is able to act very well with the different characters given to him. He was good in 'Hwang Jini', 'Beethoven Virus' & now in 'You're Beautiful'. Surprisingly / unexpectedly, Jang Geun Seok & Park Shin Hye sing very well. ;)

Episode 14: Tae Kyung was such a cheeky monkey when he asks Mi Nyu out for a movie & indirectly ask her to hold his hands to lead them to their seats. Tae Kyung swoops in for a kiss when they were on the deck overlooking the city when Mi Nyu thought he will use his knuckle to hit her to give her 5 stars. SoOoOoo sweet & romantic of Tae Kyung... Nice scene here.

Episode 15: When Mi Nyu bows to Tae Kyung & walks away. Tae-kyung grabs her hand but he doesn't pull her to him or face her, just clasps it tightly. Without looking at each other, without even speaking, they both fight their tears for a long time. Mi Nyu struggles to compose herself and her voice as she says, without turning to face him: "Very far in the future, if things become even a little better, without making you feel sorrier, I will let you know that I've become okay." After they stand like that, she slowly pulls her hand free. Oh! This scene really 'breaks' my heart...

Episode 16: I LOVE the last episode!!!

My personal opinion, 'You're Beautiful' is a much better kdrama than 'Boys over flower'. Highly recommended! But... I am disappointed with the part 2 of the OST because Jung Yong Hwa's version of 'Song for a fool' wasn't included!!! Argh... ... ...

P.S. If only Mi Nyu ended up with Shin Woo in the end. I'm gonna miss this kdrama. ;)
